Image File (Is it better?)

I unfortunately have to write an image file prior to writing a disc with my Playwrite 2000 CD burner when I am using Masterlist CD(1.3... "Toast" does not require this).. I am contimplating buying a faster burner, but have been told that my computer also necessitates an image file (Power Mac 7100/ 80 56mgs RAM)... I have also heard that an image file is more accurate.. and will insure more success when shipped off to be printed... Is this true?.. I would rather write a disc without an image file (Takes a hell of a long time)...

Burning from an image file should not affect the quality of the CD. This step was needed by slower computers to be able to write the CD.
