Is there a problem with MLCD and 4.1.1? All of a sudden I'm getting nothing but digital static, and the counter is running amok.
I have nubuss, 2 882's. HELP.

UPDATE - I discovered that MLCD will not work with the Bridge I/O. Why? Don't know.

Depending on what version of MLCD you are using you may be seeing some digital hash.
It sounds like you have a nubus Pro Tools III system with two 882 I/O's. If this is the case you need to be using MLCD version 1.41 but no higher.
Version 2.0 and higher is designed for Pro Tools 24 and host based (no Digidesign hardware on a PowerMac) support only. If you use 2.0 or 2.01 with your Pro Tools III hardware you are liable to get noise and/or distortion.
The MLCD 2.01 installer comes with both 2.01 and 1.41 on the floppy disks. Depending on what hardware you choose in the installation window it will install one or the other.
If you are currently using 2.0 or 2.01, you want to install 1.41 for your Pro Tools III hardware. This should take care of the problem.
If you are using 1.41 then, you should trash the digisetup file and Masterlist CD prefs file, restart your computer and try it then.
If this doesn't resolve it you should probably give us a call here at Tech Support.
Thanks

Wow, "Digital Hash" Another great name for a band.
I believe I'm using MLCD1.3. and as I mentioned, works fine on the disk I/O but not with the bridge card which is connected to our 2nd 882. It's more convienent for us to use the 2nd 882 for doing digital x-fers.
Are you saying that V1.4 works fine on both cards?
thanks,
Tom

MasterList CD was designed to be used with the interface connected to the Disk I/O. The signal is sent out only through the first two outputs of the interface connected to the Disk I/O.
