command8 and 001

1) anyone know if command 8 can be used in conjunction a digi001

2) i use sampletank2xl and need a controller to adjust the parameter via midicontrol, is possible with the command8??? iF Not, can anyone recommend a good alternative to control the sampletank knobs..

Hi!
Command8 (and any other Digi control surfaces) work with the software, not the hardware attached.

Command8 works with Pro Tools TDM and LE, 6.4 or higher.

So, the answer to #1 is yes.

As far as SampleTank control...
That depends on the developer (IK Multimedia); if they have support for control surfaces coded, then yes, it will work fine. If IK did not program the proper table, then most likely NO control surface would work with it loaded in Pro Tools.
I do not use ST, so i cannot say yeah or nay for sure...
