New Toy

I just got home with my new Command/8 and I'm ready to hook it up but I have a question. It came with cd's for 6.4 ptle, I know I need the drivers for the C/8 but I already have 6.4 loaded that I got from the website. Do I need to deinstall and reinstall pt? Or can I just load the drivers from the cd? I would hate to have to deinstall. Will that effect my plugins? I also have the bombfactory bundle.

If you chose to do the full install of 6.4 when you updated, the C|8 drivers should already be installed. In PT look under peripherals\control surfaces and the C8 options should be there already if they are installed.

Do you mean midi controlers? I don't see anything about the C/8 in there is says none in the box. Does that mean no drivers? Thanks for the reply BTW.

yes, midi controllers, sorry. You should be able to pop in the 6.4 disc as if you were gonna install. you will come to a screen that gives you options to check or uncheck, command|8 drivers being one of them. Just check that one only if you already have 6.4 installed.

I just got it working last night. I ended up having to deinstall and reinstall ptle because I was missing the command/8 profile, and it would not load from the cd. Anyway this thing is cool it is my first use of a control surface in my home studio. Very cool.

I am having alot of fun with this thing. I need to wean myself off the mouse and keyboard. I keep reaching for them first. I don't have years of analog experience so my mind is trained on the mouse and keyboard. Again, this thing is cool.
