Autowrite -- is it true???

Hey folks!

This might be a dumb question (RTFM - y'know?) - I'm thinking of buying a Command 8 for my 002R. I gather that if you put a (few?) tracks into Autowrite mode and move your faders that the C8 will not in fact write the info to the track (volume, paning automation, etc.)

IS THIS TRUE????

No. You can write automation with the C8 until the cows come home...you just can't put any tracks into autowrite mode with the C8. This will hopefully be remedied with a firmware update.

Well, volume automates fine but panning doesn't work at all.

Not for me anyway. Someone tell me they can get PT's to record panning from the C8, please! (then I know it's only me)

That update to give us autowrite buttons sure would be nice. (How did you forget to put that on?)
