Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knew what the actual resolution (10bit,etc) of the faders on the unit? Thanks.

the resolution is 1024 steps, so pow(2,10). I think it's right to say 10 bit.

Is this the same resolution for Pro Control and ICON? Their resolutions are also 10 Bit, right?

I'm sorry, but I don't know. I worked with pro control, but in another studio then mine. I never touched an icon yet!!!

Anyone knows? Is the fader resolution on Command 8 same as ICON, Pro Control or Control 24?

Hello all... bumping this up to the top. I'm thinking about buying ten Command-8's.
Are the faders indeed 10-bit? Is this data communicated into the session automation data? (or is it munged down to 8- or 7-bit)
I noticed the connection is USB so that shouldn't hurt...

Are you planning on trying to string all 10 command 8's together on one computer for use with one installation of protools? Or do you have 10 different workstations?
I'm not sure about this but you but I believe you can only have one command8 or two command8's per computer. Definitely look into it before you buy them all.
