DAE 6.7b is for ICON D-Control
Rotary Encoder Performance Update
Included on the Pro Tools TDM 6.7 CD in the Additional Files->Unsupported Software folder. From the included Read Me document with installation instructions:
DAE 6.7b is for ICON D-Control console users who experience diminished performance when using rotary controls with some plug-ins (including Smack!). This version of DAE optimizes the way rotary control value updates are handled by DAE so that plug-in parameter changes remains fluid and responsive.
This optimization was developed late in the development of Pro Tools 6.7 and is being released as a beta until more test coverage can occur. DAE 6.7b is provided as an interim release to address the issues described. While our testing has not shown these changes introduce other problems, this version has not been fully qualified by Digidesign.
