I guess so. It does make you wonder how some of these companies stay in business. Not digi, but look at SSL. Granted they'd only have to sell 30-40 consoles to equal the money digi's taken in on 150 ICON's but I bet they are only selling 15-20 desks a year, just a guess. Maybe that's why a box of replacement lamps for a J is $400.

Do have one of those old useless SSL or Neve consoles for sale or is the ICON your first real...recording console? How does it sound? In fairness if Digi puts out a controller similar to the Control 24 I would be interested but $60,000 for controller is extremely steep...It is a controller right?

When you buy an Icon you do NOT get high dedicated High quality eq's and Dynamics as well as on the fly automated routing etc.

Do a search. This has been discussed ad nauseum. Especially in post there's alot of advantages as to why I personnaly like the combo of console and DAW.
What has your experience using either 3 of the consoles mentioned been in a large scale post situation?

Bottom line ... neither one would get convinced and we bopth would waste time and energy. I'll continue trying to sped my time and energy trying to help people ... you can do with yours however it suits you. Couldn't help but thinking in true x-mas spirit .... hmmm .... you wouldn't happen to have the grinch on your credit list would you ?
