Hi Tom
here's the latest...
I can't save =ANY= sessions/projects files at all within my ProTools v.4.2.1 NT software.
And yes, i'm really serious.
I tried creating a new session, recorded, edited, mixed and then did File > Save session or > Save session as and also > Save a copy of the session in... and I get a FATAL EXCEPTION LOG XXXX; ProTools must quit error dialog.
And this happens not only once a day, it happens EVERYTIME I try to save my work. Even if the Session's empty or full of audiotracks / plug-ins it crash with this dialog.
With this said, we just can't afford to work professionnaly with this PT system at this time because of those EXECPTIONS logs that make ProTools quit before saving the work done...
1) it appears to me like a software bug in the code of the program
2) or MAYBE something incorrect in our computer config.
Could it be also a SCSI hard drive related problem? Ours is a Seagate Ultra-SCSI not Digidesign approved but used to work 100% okay with Session 8 all the time.
Thanks for helping again...
(BTW, the new exceptions logs were, again, emailed to you)
