so is this a positive experience report? Sounds like it, I hope. I ask only because unfortunately we got a very limited chance in-house to check Waves' development in this regard.

I tried a bit - on a session that doesn't use Renaissance or C1's:

Q10 (!!,ok) : filters 1-4,5,7,9 accessible on the center section. Didn't have enough time to check out carefully. My guess is that Q6 will be fine.
Oddly, the De-Esser came up on the dynamics center session, but was usable.

Pleased they finally move.

In this update
WavesShell-DAE 5.0.xml
WavesShell-DAE 5.0.1.xml
Was downloaded. This two were installed in the DAE folder. Then, it came to be able to access it with the EQ panel of D-Con such as Q10 of Waves.
How about you?
How is Plug-In of Waves operated with the EQ/Comp panel of D-Con and about the operation of the screen?

BTW You should only put one of the .xml files into the plug-ins folder: the one which corresponds to the wave shell version.

(I'm on wave shell 5.0)

General:
My favourite waves bug is alive and kicking: open a waves plug-in, type something into a parameter field without "Return" or "Escape", and then close the plug-in window using the 'Window' button on the center section. Next click or anything: Hasta la vista, Protools! (I'm not sure if it was fixed on 5.01)

Dynamics:
Generally seem to map ok.
"C1", "C1g", "C1sc","L1": extra C1 parameters accessible via the "Page" button, but everything seems to be there.
"DeEss", "RenDeEss", "Vox": "Frequency" NOT accessible, instead HF-Slope rotary switches "mode" , MF rotary switches Audio/Sidechain

"C4" doesn't map at all!

Equalizers:
"RenEQ": fine
"Q":
generally, in stereo plugs, gain works only on left channel..
Dual mono's no problem.
Otherwise:
Q1-Q4 OK
Q6 and above: first section is mapped to Hipass, so no gain available
Q8: only sections available are 1,2,4,5,7,8; 8 mapped to Lowpass
Q10: 1,2,4,5,7,9,10; ; 10 mapped to Lowpass
Obviously, as D_Control has no "Page" button on the center EQ, it is not possible to map more than 7 sections.
All in all: not quite there yet, but at least: they're moving.

We got it through a link which Waves had mailed us directly. It seems to be part of their WUP, although that shouldn't have anything to do with it. At best, it is a fix (my previous post)

I downloaded that from their WUP and all I got was an .asp file....it doesn't expand into anything that I can drag into my DAE folder...Can anyone email or post this for me? I am 5.X waves.

just a further note - I downloaded the files on my PC and was able to get the .dmg file which then decompressed properly on the MAC - but still had the same .asp file (probably the html button itself) when I clicked on the download buton on my MAC - must be something in browser/surfing setup that is not behaving correctly...great to have the waves finally mapping!
