Mix NT Software

I just received (to great excitement and thrashing of drums) my Mix NT system... but no NT software! All the Mac stuff is there and the manuals for NT/Mac are there and thats it! Am I being dumb or has something screwed up somewhere?

AFAIK there is no MIX NT software. I remember that they say something like dec'98 http://www.digidesign.com/ubb/images/icons/frown.gif

Pro Tools NT does not yet support the new MIX hardware. A new version of the Pro Tools NT software will be available very soon that adds MIX support.

The only Digidesign hardware that is currently supported in Pro Tools NT is Pro Tools|24.

Apparently, according to the dealer who sold it to me in the UK (in case anyone is interested in this thread), the software is now being shipped on the Jan 28th. (Friday!)

Any comments?

Wow! Drum, are you saying a Digi dealer sold you a Pro Tools NT Mix system and didn't tell you that the software doesn't exist?

That's pretty scary. Digi - do your dealers know what's up - or what?

Almost. I placed an advance order for my upgrade to the Session8 a month or so ago. He rang last week and said it had arrived and... er... it hadn't really! He "just sent on the box when it arrived".

It sounds like it is probably a shipping error on our part. Your UK dealer should be willing to do whatever is necessary to correct the situation. If not, please contact the UK Digidesign office.

Drum - I would be really interested to hear how you get on with this system when the software appears. Also, could you tell me which dealer you went to for the upgrade and what the £ is (I'm also UK S-8 owner but probably can't afford to upgrade until it's too late anyway). Also, are you keeping your 882 (16-bit) if you had one of these?
