This will be interesting.

In the meantime I can dump the M-Audio 410 PCI card in my second PC, and use the 1814 with V-Stack or Giga Studio.

I got a brand new non blem unit for $444 shipped. Should be here in a few days.

B&H photo in NY. Best price I could get on the box wiht no haggling involved.

Your right! Way cheaper! Well, I guess it's time to try out MFs 45 day best price guarentee (or return depending on their response).

Damn straight it's cheaper! Since PTMP is going for $300 at guitar center (must be cheaper elsewhere) this makes a damn fine system for hundreds of dollars less than the 002r - and it's portable!

Well, we're only talking $35 or so in my case. The difference is the "blem" compared to new. If this one is pretty beat up, they'll adjust the price based on B&H or it goes back. There's a 45 day return too

The software is going for $299 just about everywhere. Somebody posted a price of $249 in another thread, but never linked to where.

Update: MF just price matched and discounted for the blem.

Got it, installed it and it doesn't work. No wonder it's a "blem". So back it goes. I think I'll just go to Guitar Center have them price match another one. I've already had to wait for the first one to arrive. It ends up in the same corporate pocket anyway.

Argh, sorry to hear that. I wonder if you can get them to send you a new unit at the same price due to the hassle. I hope so.
