So how is the performance with protools m-powered with a pci maudio card (note: pci!) Does pro tools or other audio apps perform better, equal or worse with non-digidesign hardware?
Are you still stuck with the digidesignasiodriver for reason for example? or can you use the maudio or asio4all drivers? How does this work?
Is someone in for a quick davec test?

I stuck it on my GigaStudio machine where I use a Hammerfall for GSt but had the AP2496 in the box also. I'm playing a 28 track session from the system drive. It's been playing for 10 minutes. No problems at all. It works better than my 002 Rack system.

I don't have any plugins or soft synths on this box so not much I can say about that part, but this is good enough for what I do with Pro Tools anymore. Selling the 002 Rack.
