1010 user here

I use Sonar and I'm very satisfied with it.

But seeing this news about M-Powered systems got me excited because of the possibility of interfacing with other Pro Tools users. And getting in for $300 is not bad at all.

I must say that I'm utterly amazed that 1010 users like me are left out in the cold. The 1010 has been around for awhile but it's performance is outstanding in it's price range. There are a lot of 1010 owners out there so why has Digi left us out? Sonar is an awesome tool so it's not the end of the world for me but I would probably buy Pro Tools for the compatibility alone.

hey i got the full verion and it works with my delta 1010lt .... if the demo works of for you IMO the full version will work .... and i think why the 1010 is not supported is because they are tryin to sell the new stuff

Hey Rob,

Does it work with 24 bit setting? I read a post on Craig Anderton's forum a few weeks ago from an M-Audio guy. He said the 1010 will eventually be qualified for the M-Powered software but that right now it will work at only 16 bits with the current driver. What can you tell me about the 24 and 16 bits, latency, etc?

I can't confirm anything concerning the 1010 specifically,but it's the same driver for all Delta PCI products so I don't see why the 1010 would be limited in bit rate and not other Delta products using the same driver,that doesn't really make sense.Just download the demo and driver when it's up again and see for yourself.

Well, I tried the demo on Windows XP using my Delta 1010 and it doesn't work at 24 bit. I get an error message saying Pro Tools can't acquire the audio interface because some other program is using it (no programs are running). When I set the software for 16 bits the demo works.
