Ok, today was the last day of Finals and the stress is relieved!
I just wanted to say sorry to all I may have upset in my recent posts a couple weeks ago..
I had not only a crap load of work to do for school but I had a million of hours of seesions to take care of and I was very upset and stressed and loading this software wasn't helping. so I'm sorry! I'm not really a grumpy little man like I was called, I'm actually very pleasent all the time,(just not finals time).
Just to give an update with my software issues, It still dosen't work and all the advice beside the firmware have failed. I think there is just a major issue right now with M powered for alot of people, and I see the same thing happening with the newest posts here. I know that I'm not alone and that makes me happy, not because other people are going threw pain but I know now that the problem will eventually be taken care of, until then PT will sit in it's box till then..
Again I'm sorry everybody, i was pissed, even though none of my oringal comments had anything to do with anyone on this forum, but people took it to heart and I extend my apologee to all!
I do have faith that someday I will use my M-powered software! and to all of you using it right now i have to say "you lucky bas%^ards!" I wish I was you, in a way?

Hey no sweat dude. I understand your frustrations and this is certainly why we're all here to help, if you let us. I'm glad you understand that by using a little honey, it goes a long way.

Tell me, I don't quite have the time to search (if you posted the info at all) but what exactly is your configuration (computer, system, interface, etc...?). I'm curious in finding out why your PT M-P is failing.

Go luck in your finals.

Vast - we're more than happy to try to get you up and running. While there have been some firmware issues, we've recently posted updated firmware installers for Mac that have resolved most peoples problems.

If you still need assistance, provide us with your system specs and the symptoms of the problems you're encountering and we'll try to get it worked out.

Here is what I'm using:

G5 Dual 1.8 Ghz
2Gb or ram (PC3200)
Dual Displays
M-Audio 1814 Firewire Interface (Not using midi I/O)
M-Audio Oxygen 8 Controller
Evolution UC-33e
Logic Pro 7
Reason 3.0
Ableton Live 4.0
WaveBurner

I also use this machine for graphic design

Adobe Photoshop CS
Studio MX (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash 7)

Things I do daily:
Run Cron scripts
Update prepinding
Repair Permissions
Clear cache
delete Log files

I have 2 internal drives
1: 120gb that is used STRICTLY for Applications and Data (word docs/and other non audio related doc)

2: 250Gb with 3 Partions
A) Audio - MP3 songs/ samples [waves & mp3's] and other audio files.
b) Multimedia [I store all my website and graphic design files here]
c) Sessions - (I store all my sessions from PT/ Logic/ Reason etc here..

I also have a 200GB firewire external drive for all my backups and sessions from work.

I just upgraded to Tiger and cleaned the system before hand and everything is running excellent! I did not reinstall PT I'm waiting till june for the tiger update.
I am however having major problems with my 1814 clicking and popping when not in an application, this was happening before I upgraded to tiger, but I understand that I'm lucky that it even works at all with tiger because it hasn't been tested.... I'm at work right now but I think I listed my whole home DAW.. I hope this will help someone help me?? Thanks

Thanks for that info, but I'm still not clear on this:
Which drive is your startup drive? (Applications drive? Including your audio apps?)
Which drive do you use for record and playback? (the larger drive?)

The OS/audio apps (1 drive) & the record drive (separate drive) definitely need to be separate drives (not separate partitions). It sounds like they are, but just clarifying.

They are on separate drives. Applications on the 120 and my audio files are on the 250. I'm hopeing that the update for tiger will take care everything. I have faith it will, osx has made really good improvements to coreaudio.
