Does anyone know how to reduce the amount of latency through the Firewire 410? Only when Im in record enable mode in Pro Tools I get a slight double in amplitude/delay through my headphones. If I bring the faders down, I dont hear the problem. Also when the faders are down it still records the input normally. What I need is to figure out how I can have the faders set to zero in Pro Tools while being in record enable mode without hearing the effect of reverb. Tips I tried but were unsuccessful: changed h/w buffer size (currently at 138 samples), Disengaged the 1/2 monitors on the 410 software. If anyone know how to solve this simple issue that had been a pain for me for the past few days please reply or email me. Thanx

1 In Pro Tools, record-enable the tracks you
want to record and mute their output.

2 Open the M-Audio Control Panel for your MAudio
interface. At the top of the Control Panel is 4 options
Mixer, Output, Hardware & About. Select Mixer.

3 In the Control Panel mixer go to Analog In, click (1/2)
output button, then center the pan L knob if your using input 1,
center the pan R knob if using input 2.
4 Adjust the output level and balance with the
Control Panel mixer volume.

5 In Pro Tools, mute the record-enabled track & begin recording.
This should total kill the latency.

6 To listen back to the recorded tracks, unmute
the tracks in Pro Tools and begin playback.

7 When you are finished recording, turn off the
mixer output control in the Control Panel
mixer
