Can we expect to see the PTMP Tiger update the same time we see the PTLE Tiger update? I would hope that both PTMP and PTLE recieve the same attention as far as software updates and cs updates go. If so how many more weeks till we can rock PTMP on Tiger?

the tech here posts 4-6 weeks, which is rediculous, I just bought this thing and it's being returned, what a joke! product is brand new, talk about a complete lack planning.

Why are you returning something that works so well in 10.3.8 & 9... So who cares if it takes them another month or so. Let them work out the kinks. Persoanlly, I don't want a half ass M-Powered Tiger release especially when my current set-up works well. You'll appreciate the wait in the long run as well..

because i just bought a new g5 and it only has tiger on it and i'd like to use a good sound card! Shouldn't be too hard to ask, functionality when the box is opened, or at least a warning.

Compatibility information is posted in the compatibility section of our website, where it clearly indicates that Pro Tools is not compatible with Tiger yet. There is also a sticker on the product box that directs you to the online compatibility documents for up to date information.

Whatever, I can wait 4-6 weeks as long as it will finally work with the FW1814. I have a G5 running Tiger and a powerbook running 10.3.9. I struggled for a week to get it to work on my powerbook with no success, I did however recieve a very useful email from Digi Tech but nothing seemed to work. I hope the Tiger update will work flawlessly.

You have to remember, Digi has to test for TDM, then LE, Then the M-Powered, It's in that order. What's wrong, can't make music on Panther?

yep!
However I could not help it! It was the perfect time for me to finally get a great deal on a dual 2Ghz G5 with my educational discount. It shipped running Tiger, first thing I did was try to install Panther, it was a no go, I did not feel like doing sketchy work arounds (I hear it is really bad for the new G5's to run Tiger) to install Panther so I stuck it out with Tiger and everything I have it doing great and up to date. Logic 7.1 is rocking hard and stable, my FW1814 new 1.5.1 drivers work great too! I am confident it is less the 2 weeks now and digi will have the update and I will be a happy camper (that and I got 2 more GB of RAM on the way!). But yea you are definitly right, however if I had not bought a new machine I surely would have waited a few months and software updates before going out and buying/installing Tiger.

you say that your G5 came with Tiger ( correct ) and you could not re-install Panther on it , so tell me what about just getting a new drive install inside G5 boot up from the Panther CD and install it that way then just download the 10.3.8 or .9 update and you should be back in the game

Yea I know about that work around, however I am not really stressing out here man. I heard for starters it is bad for the G5's to do the Panther hack install. Either way I am pretty content here working in Logic and forcusing on some synth programming etc. Plus I got PT HD 5.1 systems 2 blocks away at school! Plus the update for M-powered will be soon now I am sure.
