Hi Gents
I am a long time digi user and am thinking about switching to PTMP with a m audio ozonic ( from a 002 r )
could you please answer these questions.
1/ are all my current synths ( atmosphere "sampletank " ect ) compatible with PTMP?
2/ can i get a 128 latency setting?
3// must i do a complete uninstall of my PT LE 6.9 first? (and can i copy my current plugins folder to PTMP)
4/ what features does PT 6.9 have that PTMP does not? (what version is it most like?)
5/ are there any issues with PTMP and the ozonic?
6/ will there be constant updates?
7/ are my current sessions done in 6.9 compatible?
If anyone else out there is using a ozonic your feedback would be great. I am thinking about the ozonic becuse
its ergonomic ' nice midi interface and i sure it will work with logic better than core audio.

1. Yes
2. Possibly - it depends on which hardware you're using and your computer. There are too many factors to give a solid 'yes' or 'no'.
3. Yes, you must completely uninstall PT 6.9 first. You should be able to copy the plugins folder, however.
4. Look at the 'What's New in PT 6.9' guide to see what you get in 6.9 that you don't in 6.7 (which is what PTMP is based on).
5. None that we are aware of.
6. We intend on supporting PTMP with updates for the forseeable future.
7. Yes

I hope M-Powered is going to recieve an update to bring its features up to LE 6.9 so the programs are idenical. I really dont what to be kicking myself in the arse for dropping LE and getting M-Powered as I am starting to see that M-powered is viewed as less of a system than LE. In Pro-Tools 7 I want to see the software idenical and supported on either DIGI or M-Audio supported hardware.

What makes you imply MP is less then LE? I'm about to make the switch, curious about your response.

Come to think of it, you guys got me going as well. I could have started a new thread but I hope we'll get our answer right here...
Digi, I'm also a techie in the LA area and many of my clients depend on me giving them exactly what I feel would suit their needs. Some use LE, others DP and Logic. I have been selling them the idea of M-Powered and for a while too. I personally own both and my preference has become M-Powered. Many of my clients, if not all would never even re-think of buying M-Powered (no matter how convincing my pitch is) if they feel that in the near future, M-Power will not carry the same features as LE. Already, the support for Control/24, DV Tool kit option & Digi Translator have been disabled/removed. If M-Powered was design to be the lessor of the 2, please state this... then I'll know exactly what my sales pitch will be.
Thanks.
