hello, is anybody interested in controlling the whole pa out of the venue. i would like to have a 2in 6out plugin with controller settings to control eg Vdosc from the desk. the venue can handle that becasue you can send the plugouts direct to the stagerack. would be cool to connect all amps on stage to the stagerack. you dont neede an additional snake for that. so if there is anybody else out there please reply and maybe we are enough to force a company to write such a plug.

I think it's a very good idea. Do you mean like having a BSS, XTA or Lake plug-ins? 4 in 8 outs would be useful for monitors. Add to that a wireless EQ remote controller
(with moving faders)and you have a perfect monitor setup all within the Venue.

A system controller/speaker processor plug-in seems like a good thing. With it, you can run all drive signals digitally to the stage then use the outputs of the stage rack to feed the speakers or amp racks.

I currently use a Meyer LD-3 which provides up to three speaker zones of the main array plus an output for the subs. It also has inserts for equalizers, etc. Two unique features of this "line driver" are its eq for atmospheric absorption, and eq for array size (type and number of cabinets in the array). The soon to be released Meyer Galelio 616 has built-in delay and parametric EQ and would be a better model for a plug-in.

Remember you don't need a plug-in with lots of ins and outs since you can use multiple plug-ins for different speaker arrays. E.g., a monitor processor plug-in only needs one in and two or three outs.

Digital I/O to an existing system controller located at FOH would be almost as good. In this case, you'd probably need 4-6 signals from FOH rack to processor and 10-16 back to the FOH rack to be routed to outputs in the stage rack.
