xpand! .dat file question

is there any way to move the .dat file from xpand! to a separate hard drive instead of having it on the system hard drive in the "digidesign" folder? pro tools 7 on mac os 10.4. thanks!

I assume like other .dat file instruments, once you move it, you'll need to create an alias where the .dat file resides now. I haven't tried it myself, so you'll have to give it a try. My 2¢.

Hi Travista,

you need to put the "Set Xpand Content Location" Application (to be found on the installer disc) next to the place where you moved the content file (*.dat) to, then doubleclick it. It tells your system where the dat file sits and Xpand! should flawlessly find its content file afterwards.
