I thought this instrument would work with my Mbox2. Every time I tried to launch PT 7.0 (whatever the latest cs is) I get a -5000 error. I installed 7.1 and got the same thing. I checked all the permissions on my drive as well as the Digidesign folder and all nested folders. I repaired permissions with Disk Utility. The only thing that fixed it for me was removing the Xpand!.dpm plug-in from the Plug-ins folder. The permissions on the plug-in itself look correct, as well as the Xpand.dat file.

Is this plug-in just not intended for LE? or is it something else.

I use it with LE every day.
Do you have the latest Pace drivers (http://www.paceap.com/dldrvr.html) installed?

If you haven't already, try downloading the Xpand! v1.0.1 update, and see the list of Known Issues in case one of those helps:

I don't have any Pace drivers installed at all as far as I know. I have no iLok authorizations needed for this computer yet.

Since my last post, I did install Xpand! 1.0.1 - now the issue I'm having is that while PT now boots up, the plug-in doesn't show up as an available plug-in when I try to instantiate it. I see BFD Lite as a stereo instrument, but Xpand! isn't there. I checked to see if the Xpand! is in the plug-in folder, and it is. I trashed all the PT and DAE prefs, still no go. I repaired permissions, and also looked at the Xpand plug-in permissions with Get Info. The permissions look correct.

One thing that's worth mentioning is that I'm running this one my Powerbook that has four user accounts. I've made a special account just for Pro Tools. Still, all the other plug-ins are being seen and load up okay.

Any other ideas?
