Hi,
Very very nice and the closest yet to my hardware synths. Something for everyone in this beast, but really excels at fat trance and rich vangelis type sounds. very similar in many ways to the Indigo, but with better and more real sounding bottom end, I think this is what makes the difference for me! the bass end isn't plastic sounding like lots of other soft synths, you can really feel the weight there in a nice way.
The morph feature is cool, pushing up the modulation wheel can morph a warm analogue synth tone into a digital power bell etc. As well as having all the usual obligitory sounds and features! this synth has something special to offer that i haven't personally experienced in a soft synth before. Some of the patches are almost like playing my Andromeda (Alesis A6 Andromeda), punchy but warm at the same time.
With the price($249) and the CPU(approx 1/3 cpu hit on large 8 note pad) both being quite low!! i consider this synth a great buy and i don't think its full potential has been realised yet. hopefully we'll have some geat user banks coming soon.
Can we have a TDM version please?
Can we have a really CPU efficient sampler? or better still a tdm one!! 10-12 on one chip, Don't need all the bangs and whistles and effects built in etc.
Rock on AIR
