I have the reason demo and i want to test it out through PT7 but i cant seem to get the routing correct or the settings. Does anyone know how to route my DIGI002 console to my Triton and/or MPC2000XL? I'm very new to the soft synth world and just need a little guidance. Thanks for any comments in advance.

If you're only using the triton and/or the mpc to trigger reason, all you need to do is select them (or the ports they are attached to) as the MIDI input for an instrument track with reason inserted on the track. The MIDI output would be whatever intrument/device in reason you are trying to control.

For maximum playability, connect your gear like this (">" means "plugged into"):
MPC Midi OUT > Titon MIDI THRU
Triton Midi OUT > Digi002R MIDI IN
Digi002R MIDI OUT 1 > Triton MIDI IN
Digi002R MIDI OUT 2 > MPC MIDI IN
This configuration will allow you to do the following plus much more I'm not going to list:
- Sync both MPC and Triton to ProTools using MBC
- trigger ReDrum with your MPC
- play the Malstrom Synth (or whatever) using the Triton
- Sequence MIDI in Protools using your Triton
- Sequence MIDI in ProTools using the MPC
- sync the Triton's ARP to Protools tempo using MBC
- Play the MPC and Triton (on board sounds) from Protools Sequence
- Play the MPC and Triton from Reason
The list can go on and on and on.... and you won't have to keep switching MIDI cables around. Hope this answers your question...
