Did anyone have the misfortune to buy Session software, as I did. It had a few interesting features including power scroll and in terms of interface was far ahead of Pro Tools at the time.

We were completely abandoned by Digi on this purchase, fortunately it was cheap !!!

Yea buddy didgidesign if you ever had the misfortune of actually speaking with them on the phone are not helpful when it comes to there low end software. I own session and can't even find out if it will run on a G3 266mhz machine. It won't open for me, maybe in the future I'll go back to using Digidesign but right now I'll opt for Cubase VST 4.0!

The free version of PT 3.4 is even cheaper. (see the other topic on Session regarding PT 3.4) I know lots of people that were quite happy that they were able to purchase Session software and do multitrack recording on their Powermacs before the free version of Pro Tools was made available.
The average wait to speak to a product specialist regarding compatibility is under 2 minutes, and most calls are answered immediately. The price for this misfortune is free, either via the 800 line in the US and Canada, or via email to prodinfo@digidesign.com (http://prodinfo@digidesign.com)
So although I think we deserve some of the criticism we receive, you might be mistaken on this issue.
$0 - price for advice and answers to compatibility questions.
$0 - price for Pro Tools 3.4 software, with G3 & OS 8 compatibility, 16 tracks record, play and edit.
$0 - Total

I don't believe anyone else has a lower price, unless there is some killer rebate program going on.
