I've been attempting to setup a Digidelivery LT over a Buiss DLS for Yanni going a week now, Been on the phone with my ISP provider, Checked all the settings and such.... I just can get port 25 out to work?

I'm at a loss at what to do and it's henering the project at this point.

Turns out BellSouth our ISP for DSL ONLY blocks port 25, so after 2 weeks of asking they finally said that they did block a port... Happens to be the one I need and they won't open it because that happens to be the port thier server runs on!

Anyone have any luck getting Digi to make 25 mail out run on another port?>

I'd need to get my hands on one to play with it - as I understand it, these are Linux based mail/file servers, so it should be possible. But, in the mean time, why not try using the port-forwarding feature on almost all internet routers available in the past 3 or 4 years? D-Link and Linksys both have the ability to set up 'virtual server' definitions that would, in theory allow you to remap activity on port 25 to another port on the WAN side of the router.

Just a thought. Again, dunno if it'll work. Say "Hi" to Yanni for me.

To work around a port 25 block, we relay the digidelivery mail functions thru our ISP's mail server using Post Fix Enabler, http://www.cutedgesystems.com/software/PostfixEnabler/

Instead of using the dd's internal SMTP server (127.0.0.1), we've entered the IP of the mac in the network on which we've installed Postfix Enabler. PFE can translate incoming mail commands from the DD into standard authenticated email requests that as far our ISP is concerned, is simply a computer sending an email.
