See Guitar Signal, but records nothing

I have setup a track in 7.4 LE for my guitar, which is connected to Line 1 on my MBox Mini. When I play the guitar I can hear it through the speakers connected to the MBox and see the signal strength on the track. It nearly peaks. When I arm the track and start to record I can hear and see the guitar sound, but nothing is being laid down on the track. Not even a flat line. What's going on?

Are you using an instrument track? Answer should be NO.

You'd want to create a mono audio track to record a Guitar.
Instrument tracks are essential for Virtual Instruments and is a midi track with an aux track together.
