So does anyone know what the nature of this plug is going to be? I hope it isn't too watered down.

rent the original Blues Brothers movie and listen for the joke

After reading your post I rented it, after which I had to listen to four hours of Robert Johnson followed by 9 hours of early Muddy Waters. Blues Brothers? There's not any blues in that rock n roll boogiewoogie movie! :p

Yeah its a joke:-) The movies doesn't have a lot to do with the blues but its worth watching just for the cast-Ray Charles, Steve Cropper etc, There are a ton of cameos buy Motown and Blues artists. Theres also lot if semi hidden stuff thats hilarious.

Much like This is Spinal Tap.

Never hurt's to listen to Allbert Collins, or Albert King though.

It would be my guess its too early to tell.

But then Hey, Maybe they did Demo it at AES. If they did though so far no one is saying anything about it.

My read is A) It's free-as in beer-who cares B) It will sound WAY better than Amplitude LE. C) It will whet your appetite just enough to buy either the full plug or the MusicProduction Toolkit2.

They would like you to buy the full version of the plug and or the MPTK2 where for all practical purposes you will get it for free.

Expect to be teased:-)

I forget all of the details, but I do know that Eleven Free has 2 amps (Digi Custom Modern Overdrive and Digi Custom Vintage Crunch) and limited cab and mic selection.

But will it do Country And Western?

Chris is pretty close - 2 amps, 2 cabs (which can be mixed and matched or bypassed), automatable parameters, noise gate, control surface mapped parameters, support for up to 8 channels (7.1) operation.

Now theres a factoid...I presume this is CPT only?

I would assume so - it seems only logical that you'd need something that supported 7.1, which only comes in CPTK.

I assume anything with out the CPT is going to be limited to either stereo or mono.

yea that was my guess...

but they only mentioned 7.1 in the cpt

so yea.
5.1 would be cool..and 7.1 would be great when doing sound for my video production class.

Hi,
I have Eleven LE and just did the upgrade to PTMP8 & MPTK2.
What's going to happen if i synchronize my iLock with the second asset for Eleven LE?
Will be two licenses for Eleven LE? And Eleven Free?
I like the free version.
Sorry, but I'm a bit confused...
Thanks so much, sorry for my English.:-)

This is a interesting question. I have already have Eleven, The MPTK, THE DVTK2, X-Form etc and will be updating to the Complete Production Tool kit whenever they decide what that upgrade will cost.

My experience is that you can only have one copy of a asset on your iLok at any given time.

Normally you would have two choices depending on how Digi distributes the assets in the toolkits. A) Download the new asset of Eleven to a different iLok or let it sit in your Ilok account. I'm not sure how long something will sit in your account waiting to be downloaded. Probably forever but who knows. I have a spare iLok I download stuff like this to just in case lightning strikes iLok some day.

Not every component of the toolkits have their own separate assets....example in the MPTK the Track Expansion is bundled with (I beleive) DINR LE. In the DVTK the Track Expansion is also bundled with the Digibase Pro and or the enabler for things like the Universe Window/Time Code Rulers. Some things like TL Space have their own assets in each toolkit.

As I said it will be interesting.
