Hey all I have Pro tools mpower and I just got Logic studio and I love it.

I have the full version of Eleven le and is there a way to use it in Logic or am I forced to sell it and get GTR3?

eleven is an RTAS plugin (real time audio suite) and is native to pro tools only so in other words, it will not work in logic, sorry

It is really insane if you think about it that you can spend $395 on a software plugin and it is not compatible with other major DAWS.

The Eleven company would make so much more money and make more people happier if it was not exclusive just to pro tools.

I see GTR solo is free for one year, how does that compare to Eleven le?

I wonder who the CEO of the Eleven Company is?

You're kidding, right?

It's an AIR product. AIR is owned by Digi. There are several companies that make only RTAS plugins just as there are several companies who only make VST plugins.

Also, each DAW these days has their own proprietary set of plugins. You can't use Logic's Delay Designer or Sculpture (or even Guitar Amp Pro) with anything but Logic, you can't use Cubase's Spector or Mystic VIs with anything but Cubase, and although generally pretty lame, Digital Performer comes with it's own set of VI plugins as well. I'm sure Sonar has it's own, too.

Sorry...it was hard to tell. The printed word doesn't include the ;) factor.

There are SOME here who may NOT have been kidding!

Fair enough. I thought maybe the 1600 posts would automatically add some :D factor.

Dudes and Dudettes,
I use PT and Logic, and MainStage and Amplitube Stuff, and the Waves GTR, etc.

But...

I use two audio interfaces on my laptop, MOTU828 and Mbox. Sometimes a Firewire Solo also.

With the two (or more interfaces) I can use PT or Logic as the main DAW and use one of the standalone GTR apps to route into the main DAW using the other audio interface.

Very flexible.

I sometimes have to scale back plugins and stuff in the main DAW so as to run both systems, but with a bit of thought it does work.

"Hello, Cleveland !!!" :D

LOL.

Just for the record, Eleven is not an AIR product. It was created right here at Digidesign headquarters in Daly City, CA.

Well if you have a HD system you should be able to run the TDM version in Logic because it supports HD Plugins.

Hey I am very upset that this plugin that I paid over 400 dollars for does not work at all in Logic. I really love Eleven le.

It sounds very good and real and is a joy to use, But I have switched over to Logic Studio 8 100% now.
I now have a 400 dollar plugin collecting dust which is a shame because its high quality.
I have the full license of Eleven Le on my Pro tools Mpower Ilok and I am thinking about selling/transfering it to someone who will actually use this high quality emulator with Pro tools, I am also willing to keep it if the offer is to low.

What is the process of transfering an Ilok licence?

Greg M

Mikey,

Go to iLok. com and read about the process. It's pretty straight forward. There are links that let you move assets from your account to another (you will need the name of the account that you transfer the asset to). The original asset owner (you) pay a $25 fee. iLok tells both the recipient of the asset and the manufacturer of the asset (Digi in this case) that it has been transfered.

Don’t look for Digi to make plug-ins for others, believe it or not they would prefer you stay with Pro Tools.:D:D

The TDM and RTAS version should also work in Digital Performer.
