View Full Version : Eleven only good for two tracks?

I had a problem with Eleven, I put it on two tracks, one main guitar track then a duplicate. I saw something about paning to get rid of this, but they are paned opposite. Any way, it worked great on the two tracks. However when I opened it on a third, it just got this weird techno feed back, like da da da da.
I tried this on a few other tracks, it seems as soon as you open Eleven for the third time, it just won't work.

Are you just pushing your computer too far? Amp sims are pretty CPU intensive.

I was thinking it might just be my CPU. I did this with just two tracks in a session and it still happened. I could see it if I had 12 tracks with a plug in on each or something.

What are your system specs ?
I am still using an older P4 and three instances of Eleven on three separate tracks exhibited the same thing for me - system over lode and it was unusable.
Each instance of Eleven adds about 1/3 or more to my CPU (RTAS) meter. Eleven is a major hog - imagine if they added stomp boxes and rack affects!
By comparison,
3 instances of Amplitube2 took me to about 75% capacity
3 instances of Guitar Rig 3 took me to less than 50% capacity
Of course, this depends on the preset chosen, but for this comparison I used similar crunch presets. Quite telling though.

There are other threads on the DUC about this, Eleven is wonderful - but a memory monster!
