OWD is worth the investment.

I think it comes down to what you need - one kit, or many.
It looks like both offer a similar product outside of that.

I have no experience with Mixosaurus - but I just checked out the demos online. Sounds incredibly natural. Whoa.

I am using Ocean Way drums along with my Vdrum kit. I bought the DL version - initial investment is much smaller - and, you can download additional multi kits when you need. The main reason I went with it is because of the unique mapping for the Roland kit (though I see Mixosaurus does this too). Plus, you get a total of 19 kits, excellent flexibility with mics, mixing and effects, and you can build your own kits from the instruments included. I like having more drums available to me.

Oh, and it's been working great with PT8 LE - I'm using Mbox2Pro, PC Vista32, LaCie hdd.

drumdh, do you have any other Libraries like Superior or BFD??

Do you feel OWD is in it's own league or par with the other libraries

Any issues with Kontakt and OWD????

I'm not using any other drum VI's - and unfortunately can't make a comparison for you. I'm fairly green - new to VI's. Hopefully folks who are using Superior and BFD can weigh in on this. In fact, I haven't talked to many people using OWD yet.

Being a drummer first, I loved being able to capture a live performance through the vdrum kit. So, I've only used the vdrum mapping so far.

When I first installed OWD, I had some issues with performance. After I'd followed the Digi recommendations for optimization, and the same with the Kontakt player everything has worked well.
