ProTools is the first (and only) app freezed by TimeMachine?
In >3 years always i've got a spinning wheel when time machine is startin'.

With this "version", i've got also a new.. error
From spinnin' wheel to freeze, always better.. every hour i have got to restart my macs.
Operators are goin' crazy...
Somebody is backupin' something sometimes, or i'm the lonely?
How, if any application block protools?
No retrospect, no time machine, whatelse?
Automatically, of course..
I don't want to move a folder from one place to one other, please it's 2009, not 1999.
any suggests are appreciated
best

Well we use a company that mirrors our files in realtime! Never used Timemachine as it will backup all files - even useless stuff - so Im not really familiar with it!

Just turn off time machine while you're using PT.

In Italy, to have got a 10Mbit (not 10MB!) SHDSL in upload you have to pay >700€ each month.. for optical fiber +4500€ for the connection, overbudget.

No chance, here we've got a real Digital Divide.
I'll use time machine on my osx server manually.. deactivating every time, hoping not forgot to leave it switched on.

BTW, why not think to make it better ProTools, with a better integration with OSX, like LOGIC PRO, digital performer or every other commercial app?

could be a solution?
