Hi,
I've recently set up Pro Tools 8.0.3 on my Mac Pro and have suffered many problems using the software.
During playback and when running with 8 Processors running at 90% i receive this message:
You are running out of CPU power. Remove some RTAS plug-ins or increase the CPU Usage Limit in the Playback Engine dialog.
(-9128)
I have the buffer size at 1024 when i receive this message.
When i attempt to playback i sometimes also receive about half a second of audio and the play and stop buttons flash.
The session files i deal with are usually made up of Addictive Drums, GuitarRig 2.0 and the Ampeg plug in.
here is my current set up;
Mac Pro,2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processor, 3GB 1066 MHz DDR3 Memory. Lacie 320GB Firewire 400 Drive, Pro Tools M Powered 8.0.3 running on Snow Leopard. M Audio Project Mix I/O Interface.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have frequently tried deleting the settings from the preferences menu but have had no success.
