Couple weeks ago I posted that my company is looking for new VO talents. It has now come up through discussions here that it would be wise for us to seek a production-only sort of guy/gal too.
We are TourDesign--the largest provider of
concert/motorsports/event advertising media in the world. Yes, the world. "Sell you the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge"--yep that's us. "Together, alone, and face to face"--yep, that was our Billy Joel/Elton John spots. You can barely open a newspaper or free weekly without seeing one of our print ads. We service clients all over North America and many other places (though, often just a music bed to the foreign language radio markets).
Looking for VO talents and production person. The production person should have a good knowledge of ProTools and plug-ins like Waves, etc. Lots of beat-to-beat editing, sfx sweetening, and general mixing.

Sorry, I forgot that my email address changed since I registered with this site.
My present address is jim.kuczkowski@sfx.com
And btw, I have recieved a number of demos from folks with home setups who want to do work for us on a spot or retainer fee as freelancers. I am afraid that is not what we're looking for. We need people here full time. Relocation *is* necessary. We crank out too many spots at too short of a notice to have to deal with remote workers, sorry.
Once again, we are looking right now for VO talents with PTs experience and just plain production guys (a little VO ability would be good) with mega PTs experience and good mixing capabilities.
Thanks,
Jim "The Kooch" Kuczkowski

Am I misunderstanding the term VO, or are you really looking for voice-over performers who cut on ProTools too?

Yes. We are looking for voice-over talents who have a working knowledge of PTs. We also need one kick-ass PTs editor/mixer who may or may not have VO experience.

Hi Jim,
I know that you posted the position a while back on the Digi site, but I thought I'd respond anyway since my experience is somewhat unique.
I have 14 years of broadcast/production experience. I have held Production
Director and Program Director positions in small and major market radio. I have been editing on Pro Tools for about 5 years now.
I've voiced and produced features, imaging, marketing material, and presentations for clients including: Nike, Disney Interactive, Mattel Media, Kool Aid, SEGA, Bandai, Nintendo, Cablevision, Skippy Peanut Butter, United Airlines, Hallmark, Jell-O, HealthTalk Interactive, AsthmaLearningLab.com, Lexant, and Family PC Magazine.
Let me know if you'd like a production sample. Producing concert spots full-time would be a blast, and I definitely have the aptitude for it.
Thanks!

Good luck, with the highspeed connections avilable today, not many Pro Tool users are willing to relocate. If you change your mind please feel free to call on me.
