View Full Version : Monitor access for AUX (cue mix)?
Dear Digi Guys,
ProCon's aux out feeds my cue amp... unless I split off of that and return to SRC 1, 2 or 3 there's no way to monitor a cue mix. Is it possible to "fix" this with future ProCon firmware/software? Seems like I could just send aux internal to an SRC (thinking it would be in the utilities - monitor section), or is this an internal wiring thing?

Err doesnt the signal go from 2 selected out puts on the interface to PC (where you get a chance to hear it?) then to the headphone amp?
Or do you need a set of cans at your side to build a monitor mix?
There is a functon to flip all the faders to be the levels to Aux, dunno , interesting one....Digi how can we tune ito that

Here is what i do to monitor a cue mix. Set aux/headphone send outputs to a buss, let's say 1 & 2. Create a stereo aux return, set it's input to Buss 1 & 2, and assign it's send to whatever analog output you are using for the phones. All the sends should be pre fader. When listening to you own control room mix, keep the aux return muted with the fader at 0. When you need to monitor the phones mix, unmute the aux return and solo it. Voila!

Will's solution is great. Here's what I do - not as elegant, but fast. I have a Behringer Powerplay in my rack right next to the ProControl. It can amplify four seperate headphone mixes and has a front panel headphone out jack for each amp in addition to the hard wired rear outputs that feed the studios. I just keep a set of cans at the console and plug into each feed as I need to monitor it.
