Hi, anywhere I can looks for plug-ins and filters for PT FREE? Just after some basic and obscure filters to make things interesting... are pro tools filters and plug-ins compatible with PT FREE, or do I need PT FREE specific software?

Thanks,
Justin

I'm interested in this too.

Is there an independent web page or user group that gives a list of plugins for the pro tools product

any websites anyone would recommend.

I'm particularly looking for a reverb plugin.

Thanks for the advice that reverb is not built into the free version.

WARNING *******************

do not try and install the. Kind of Loud,RealVerb RTS mentioned in another thread

It's a 3.6 meg download which doesn't work with the Pro Tools Free for Mac. It installs but when you launch Pro tools it hangs when
it gets to the registering plugins startup screen at the RealVerb section. ( G4/450 loadsa RAM OS9 etc )

Reinstalling Pro Tools still causes a hang. I had to go into the system folder frind the digidesign folder and manually pullout the
realverb plugin files. This caused PROtools to work agains.
SO DON"T BOTHER INSTALLING REALVERB !!!

Use the Plug-In Finder in the Products section to search for AudioSuite and RTAS plug-ins. You can search for specific effects, like reverb, or view all plug-ins.
Most of the RTAS and AudioSuite plug-ins should work with Pro Tools FREE (including RealVerb, at least on my system) with the exception of plug-ins from Antares and Bomb Factory. Find the plug-ins that you are interested in, then check with the individual manufacturer. All Digidesign RTAS and AudioSuite plug-ins work with PT FREE.

Do as Bruce says. Most everyone has full woking demos in the 10-30 day range! I grabbed some and they work great. I think Chanel strip was one of them? can't remember becuase I'm at work now.
