PT 4.3.2 and PTF 5.0.1

I work with a writer who has a ProTools 24/888 system running PT 4.3.2. He's wanting to install PTF on his iMac DVSE and transfer stuff between the two workstations. Will he need to install 5.0.1 on his 24/888 computer or is there another way to transfer these files/projects between the two?

All Pro Tools 5 versions will open a v4.3 session. You will want to save a copy of the session at 8 tracks or less on the TDM system, open it in Pro Tools FREE, then "Save Session Copy in" and choose "Pro Tools 4.3" in the drop down menu.

By the way, if you had Pro Tools TDM v5 on the other system, it comes with a version of Pro Tools LE for TDM that allows you to use LE with the TDM hardware to prepare sessions for use on an LE system.
