i can only get a resolution of 800x600 on my powerbook, so i can't open the window large enough to get at the change grid parameters, and i cant use the key-commands because i am on a laptop (without a keypad). i cant find a menu anywhere..

any solutions?

Yep, I have an iBook, same thing.

If you're purely editing, a quick workaround is to set the tempo to 60 bpm and the meter to 1/4. The default grid is 1 beat on the "bars and beats" grid, and 100ms on the "minutes and seconds" grid. So by switching between them you get a 100ms and a 1 sec grid. Of course this doesn't do anything for you if your working on music because of the tempo issue...

BTW Dutchman: You can change the grid value on your iBook with the fn key. It makes the keypad available. cntrl-opt-fn +/-.

OK... i figured it out... this is how it works.

1) press fn-F5 (function key 5) which puts the powerbook into num lock mode

2) now ctrl-opt-/ for + or ctrl-opt-; for -

hope this helps

You can also hit the "fn" button to temporarily engage the keypad rather than "number lock"(f5). It's next to the ctrl key on the left. Hint: you have to press and hold cntl-opt BEFORE you hit the fn key to engage the keypad.

No NO NO,

On a ibook press F5 (num lock) , then ctr - opt and change with / or ; keys.
That works
