Freeze Scanning Program Files..PLEASE SOMEONE?

I saw a related post earlier..but no answers and sure could use some help...PII 300 with lots of audio related software.. HELP..AND THANKS!

I'm having the same problem with a freeze of the entire computer while "scanning program memory" on my Dell Cpi laptop, PII400, 128mg. I use PT on mac at work and PC/001 at home and was hoping to use "free" on the laptop but....

I also installed on a BX chipset PII350 of mine and it works just great with a Gina card!

I think it is a hardware problem, maybe chipset issue. I keep working on it and let you know.

I had the same problem (freezin during "scanning program memory" process), but after disabling my computers virtual memory PTF loaded correctly. Unfortunately it's very slow so there are some other bugs I guess.
