H/W Buffer Size panel does not work

When I get into ProTools, after a couple of seconds I get: "The operating system held off interrupts for too long, try increasing the H/W Buffer Size Hardware Set-up (-9092) panel. But when I click in this panel it does not work.

Paul,I have been getting same message...when you select the hardware buffer...hold the left mouse button a few seconds until the other values show up....Itried this and it allows me to select values..but when I select any other value...it reboots the machine...
I actually spoke to a digi tech about this ..Istill have digi 1 support...but instead of putting the blame where it belongs..he blamed it on the pc...which incidentally meets digi requirements.IT SEEMS THAT DIGI SOFTWARE PEOPLE ARE UNAWARE THAT IN A WINDOWS ENVIRONMENT..IF THE PROGRAM IS WRITTEN TO MICROSOFT SPECS FOR WINDOWS..THE MACHINE CONFIGURATION DOESN'T MATTER...THIS IS A QUOTE FROM A SENIOR WINDOWS TECH AT MICROSOFT...UNFORTUNATELY DIGI CAN'T ADMIT IT
STILL DOESN'T GET IT WHEN IT COMES TO WINDOWS.
TO PROOVE MY POINT WHEN YOU DO TALK TO A DIGI TECH ASK HIM IF HE THINKS YOU SHOULD GET A MAC .I GUARANTEE HIS RESPONSE WILL BE YES.
