sv3700 to SPDIF in

Anyone using a Panasonic SV3700 as an interface to DIGI001? How are the results?
Any other suggestions for accessing the SPDIF
input for recording?

I use a Sony CE-500 for importing DAT tracks (usually for mastering) using the S/PDIF input. Just set the sync to external (but not optical) in PTLE. Just watch what the sampling rate. Some DATs are recorded at 48K and you'll have to sample rate convert them before burning to CD. If you don't want to SRC them, just use the analog inputs.

Other common uses for the S/PDIF are to front-load the Digi001 with an Apogee Rosetta A/D converter.

Use a high quality SHORT cable with gold plating!
Dont use a crappy one like the type that comes with hifi gear...
