Hey, I'm having a bit of a problem. images/icons/confused.gif
After I'm done recording something I'm going back through and listening for mistakes & places I'll have to punch-in but whenever I find a place I hit stop and the transport returns to zero.
Is there a trick to have the "playback head" stop where it is and not reset?
Thanx in advance,
Chris

Otto,
I do that also but generally I just use those for indicating major music points (i.e. chorus, brighde, etc.)

You can also toggle the "follows playback" feature from the main edit screen. It's a little horizontal rectangle bar in the upper left of the screen next to the four editing modes.
Much faster than going to the preferences menu...
...oh, and using the "follows playback" feature WITH a pre-roll of 1 or 2 bars works really well for checking your edits.

Also if you don't want to use the "follow playback" feature all the time, hitting the down arrow at desired location will drop the cursor there.

The "N" key also toggles this feature.

You could also audition the track using control+5....and scrub with +/- keys.

the 'N' key only works on TDM systems when you have enabled Command Focus Mode using the [a..z] button that for some totally annoying and bizzare reason was omitted from PTLE ... grrrrr, WHY digi ? WHY!!!! images/icons/smile.gif
