this tip may be obvious, but i'll post it anyway. i have 3 adats and a BRC, so i came out the lightpipe of the 3rd adat to my 001 soundcard, then lightpipe out of the soundcard to adat #1, as though the computer were a 4th adat. now when i want to transfer tracks, i just turn on the digital bus on the BRC and choose the source tracks there, and i'm not constantly repatching the lightpipe cables. i was told that wouldn't work, but it does. give it a shot.
