When I use SDII or Cubase Audio VST, my mousepointer disappears. In Cubase Audio VST it only happens when I play digital audio, not when I only use midi-data. In Protools this never happens. Does anybody recognise this problem? Until now I solved it by pressing the on/off button of the MAC and than press cancel. That's the only way to get the mouse-pointer back. How can I solve this problem?

Although Tech Support has been unable to duplicate this problem, a friend of mine experienced it with SDII, Digital Performer, and a couple of other non-Digi apps. He changed bacxk from OS 8 to System 7 and the problem went away.

This can also be caused by some older Kensington extensions. If you have a Kensington mouse or trackball, be sure to install the latest drivers for that device.

I have the same problem. I just switched from a Mac IIci to a PowerPC 8100/80. I never had the problem with the IIci. It only happens with audio programs such as Sound Designer, MasterList, MasterList CD and Deck and it happens with playback.
