After upgrading to SDII 2.83, I can't get any digital I/O to my dat from SDII. I've checked my connections, I'm using DAE 3.23& DSI 3.23, and Sound Output in SDII is set to use my AMIII card. Also, my analog I/O are fine. Does anyone have a solution? Tech support gave up on me and sent me to this users conference page. HELLLLP!!!!

I have a similar problem. After using MOTU Digital Performer, the S/PDIF output is dead, although it is apparantly still sending clock info (my M2000 syncs to it.)
Users of Opcode MAX w/ MSP extensions also complain of this problem.
Try trashing the Digi setup file, and certainly trash the Digicomm file (if you have one) then restart.

This is an update to my problem. I can now get digital input to SDII through S/PDIF. I still can't get any digital output. Are there any known problems with the S/PDIF out on the AMIII cards?

This is a SDII problem I wish DigiDesign would fix. After I run Digital Performer, SDII no longer outputs S/PDIF on the AMIII.
Other software (i.e. - InstantPlayer, etc.) which uses the SoundManager can still use the S/PDIF output just fine.
Having to trash the DigiSetup file and then restart is totally unacceptible.

Well guess what? I found my PT 4.0.1 cd and copied DSI 3.1.1 to my ext folder and restarted. SDII 2.83 now has full S/PDIF in and out. So, I guess whatever the programmers did at Digidesign in v3.1.1 was left out in v3.2.3. Peace!!!

You know, I hate it when the solution is so easy. I went back to DSI 3.23 and trashed my Digi setup (in preferences folder). I restarted and voila...I have digital I/O on my AMIII card. This also works after using Ray Gun because the Digi setup file gets corrupted. Thanks for your help.
