Yesterday, I became very angry and insulted by the treatment of few of DIGI's representatives. I called to tell them that my authorizations are gone. I had one crash and by mistake copied it from the internal drive to the external and back. They told me that originally I had "8 athorizations" which is not true. They said that I must buy 4 more for $100. In addition they talked to me like I was some kind of a criminal, with very nasty tone. I hope that some management level people will see this message. I originally spent $1300 to buy audiomedia ll and then $80 to buy the upgrade to 2.8 . I believe that a loyal customer like me deseres some sympathy and kindness.
what do some of you think about it???

I'm sorry to hear that you had an unfortunate experience with us yesterday. I agree that any customer not only loyal customers should be treated with kindness.
As far as the number of authorizations you should have...
When you purhased Sound Designer origingally, you got a an install diskette with two authorizations on it and the diskette itself that can be used as a key.
Once your Sound Designer/AM II was registered you should have received another "backup" install diskkette from us with two more authorizations and the diskette (three keys) for a grand total of 6 authorizations.
This is all assuming you originally got version 2.8 or greater with your AM II. Versions of Sound Designer prior to that were not copy protected.
Depending on whether or not you recieved any additional install diskettes from us you should have received atleast 4 software keys and two disktetts for a total of 6.
We normally try to consider the circumstances and act accordingly when issuing additional installs. If you have recieved additional installs from us already we will normally hesitate to issue more at no charge because this situation suggest that either you are having system problems that should have resolved to prevent authorization loss and/or you may bave careless with the installs you had.
If the installs were lost by no fault of yours we will try to work with you to get you up and running however, if the installs were lost due to carelessness or repeated user error we have no choice but to charge for additional installs.
I hope this helps clear things up some and I invite you to call again to see if we can't get to the bottom of this authorization issue.
Thanks,
Jon Connolly

Dear Jon,
Thanks for your reply. Now I know that I am right because the original SD ll I got was version 2.5. Therefore, according to your note I did not recieve the extra keys on the back up disk.
My name is Mordecai Shehori and I will appreciate hearing from Digi concerning this issue.
Thanks again,
Mordecai
