Hey
Anyone know if theres a way of seperately gliding the faders and all other stuff, eg plugins/send etc? I know theres latch/glide mode, but Im thinking more of seperate automatch buttons for faders and one for everything else or a way of gliding certain perameters without gliding everything. Im guessing probably not, just Im used it it as a funtion on DFC gemini desks, but would be lovely if there was or could be in the future.... Antony |

just realized you probably know how to do it from ProTools and were asking specifically how to do it from the console. Last edited by BScout; 11-07-2009 at 01:34 PM. Reason: misunderstood question |

On the control surface, under [Automation] Modes>
You'll see "Glide To - Current" and "Glide To - AllEna" in the soft keys Use the one you're looking for. |

Sorry, being particularly dense with the question.
For individual tracks (on channel strip), Command + what you want to match (needs to be write enabled): Command + Auto = volume Command + Pan or Send or Insert = whatever's selected for all Pull up the view of the particulars of pan/send/insert and press Command + Rotary for parameter to automatch Command + dyn or eq "Auto" to automatch all there For all channels, Command + (in auto enable section) Auto Type will match all writing of that type. Then there's "Automatch" which everyone seems to be familar for doing everything global. Last edited by BScout; 11-07-2009 at 02:50 PM. Reason: added a bit more and confusing spell correct |

ok, my next question...
Its great and works beautifully except... It doesnt seem to work on VCA slaves. It glides back the peramater for each of the tracks within the group all together - so you lose the ability to be able to glide faders seperately, which unfortunately makes these lovely functions pritty much useless for me! To explain better, for example - if I ride the levels of 3 faders within a VCA and press COMMAND and AUTO on one fader, it glides all the faders within the group. Any tricks/ideas outta this one? (on 7.4 still...) |

And the two problems I have are...
Cmd+Auto on the Eq and Dynamics section of my D-Control doesn't automatch those sections, it just goes into automation select mode. This one is weird as the manual states this is the way to do it. I have cleared preferences this last week maybe try again - god I hate having to do that, even more so since being on an Icon. And the other one is that you seem to be able to automatch individual volumes/pans/send volumes but no other individual controls - if I have an EQ selected on a channel strip Cmd+select button for an encoder - say Q - doesn't automatch but it does for an insert as a whole or a send or a pan. Pete ps on 8.01
