Greetings,
I just recently upgraded to 8.0.1 from 7.4.2 about a week ago and noticed one little quirk that's really working my nerves. When editing MIDI in 7.4.2 i was able to record MIDI, disarm record, quantize, change velocities, cut & paste etc, etc....all while keeping the song playing. Drop in and out of record with the song playing with no problems. Move the play cursor all around the screen with no problems and playback would not stop until i hit the spacebar or the stop button on the transport... And that's exactly how i like it! Now, with 8.0.1, i can't do any of that. Everytime i finish a MIDI recording pass and go to quantize or cut & paste MIDI notes, any kind of MIDI editing, the song stops and resets to the begining of the song... Very, very irritating. Not only does it make my MIDI editing process longer, but it's quite annoying and unnecessary. So my question is this. Is there a way to turn it back to the way i described it behaved in 7.4.2, or is this something i'm just gonna have to get used to in 8.0.1? Thanks... |

Sounds like you want Dynamic Transport. I think its under the Options menu.

That's exactly what it was... I actually had it turned on and needed to turn it off. Thanks.
